The items below highlight new products and developments in our range.
2010.10.10 - Out-of-the-box, standards-compliant support for dozens of logical access applications
The Crescendo series of smartcards specialize in logical and physical access control by incorporating HID's iClass and Proximity or MIFARE and Proximity technologies with an integrated cryptographic contact chip. By combining logical and physical access control in a single card the Crescendo C700 series reduces card management costs and increases user convenience.
As well as supplying the cards themselves Smartcard Focus have created a Crescendo start-up guide to help users set up Microsoft Windows Smartcard authentication, emphasizing the main tasks required in enabling and running a secure two-factor authentication system. This is included in the Crescendo Evaluation kit which also contains the relevant drivers and Crypto Service Provider (CSP) software, helping to create a usable and easily understandable package for Crescendo implementation.
