Our RFID/NFC field strength probe measures the strength of the emitted field and displays this on a graded and labelled 15 step three colour LED indicator. The probe is sized exactly as a standard ID1 card (86mm x 54mm) and has an etched antenna that reflects a typical contactless or dual-interface smartcard or NFC tag. It can be used to obtain a good measure of a reader's performance at different distances and positions, and to get an indication of the actual field strength in A/m.

According to the normal ISO 14443 specifications, the magnetic field strength should range between 1.5 and 7.5 A/m although smaller lower-power readers and other NFC devices such as mobile phones can tend to be lower, and some devices emit a pulsed rather than steady RFID field. To cover this, the field strength probe can measure signals down to 0.4 A/m, and updates the indicator LEDs in real time.

Highly convenient and fully portable, the 13.56MHz FSP is powered exclusively by the reader and therefore requires no batteries or external power to operate. Can be used to check and test any ISO 14443, ISO 15693 and ISO 18000-3 NFC and RFID reading devices.

Comes in a convenient protective pocket case.
